Plate and frame filter press is mainly composed of fixed plate, filter frame, filter plate, pressing plate and pressing device, and its appearance is similar to chamber filter press. The materials used for manufacturing plates and frames are metal, wood, engineering plastics and rubber, etc., and there are various forms of surface grooves on the filter plate as the liquid discharge pathway, and the filter frame is hollow. Multiple filter plates and frames are arranged alternately, with filter media (such as filter cloth) sandwiched between the plates and frames, and the frames and plates are erected on two horizontal equal beams through two lugs, with a fixed plate at one end and a compression plate at the other end pressed or pulled apart by a compression device during operation.
The filter press is charged and discharged by means of channels in the cornersof the plates and frames, or by means of lug channels projecting from the sides of the plates and frames. The filtrate is discharged in two ways: open flow and concealed flow. During the filtration process, the filter cake collects in the frame.

Working Principle
